Laura Tucker-Huggins is a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist specializing in family related issues. Laura works with individuals, couples and families in an effort to enhance relationships and improve the overall quality of life.

About Laura

Laura’s therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.


With over 19 years combined experience in the Social Services and Counseling fields, and as a graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University, Laura is a Licensed Professional Counselor & Mental Health Service Provider in private practice for a combined total of 7 years. In addition to private practice, Laura has held positions such as the Clinical Director of a counseling center and Executive Director of a local community mental health center.


Among Laura’s areas of expertise are Children’s Issues (including adjustment issues due to divorce and grief and loss.; child custody disputes; and behavioral concerns), Depression, Anxiety, Anger, Adjustment Disorders, Marriage Counseling/Divorce Adjustment, Bi-Polar and other mood disorders and various Personality Disorders.

On A Personal Note

Laura is the wife of Brian Huggins and the mother of three girls, Kenzie (21), Halee (17), and Savana (16). She enjoys a quiet lifestyle in the small town of Bell Buckle with her family and three dogs: Gabbi, Gunner, & Gracie. Her interests include traveling, exploring historic hotels, reading, and interior design.

While the therapeutic approach desired by the client is always paramount and respected by me as a therapist, my preference is always to implement a Christ-Centered approach.  It is my belief that God is the ultimate healer and provides the wisdom to navigate this challenges of this world.
